Shanduka Group, in partnership with Gestamp Wind, a Spanish company with over 10 wind farm projects around the world and Sarge, a Cape Town-based renewable energy developer, pioneering the establishment of renewal energy advancement in South Africa, has been awarded a 20 year contract by the Department of Energy to develop a 75MW wind power project in the Karoo at a cost of R1.7 billion. The project will be commercially active early in 2014.
